I have just finished changing all SAW Servers over to a new server box. This also means that the SAIL servers have been moved. All details remain the same but different IP addresses now for the servers.
It is a bigger, more powerful server which should provide good conditions for both SAW & SAIL.
SAIL Server #1: 203.142.9.123:27010
Rifle Comp Server #1: 203.142.9.123:27030 The servers are always online on the current week's map selection for participants to prac or scrim. |

Season V Completed. |

Another season is over. SAIL has just completed it's fifth season with the completion last night of the two division Grand Finals.
Division 1 was won by the highly tipped cLag side in a landslide victory that did nothing to enhance this game to anyone. They won both maps comfortably over a SAW side that was disappointing in only fielding five members for the match. Never threatened from start to finish the match meandered from start to finish with a small controversy the only thing to liven things up. Congrats to cLag on their win. As expected they are too good & too strong for anyone in this competition at the moment.
Division 2 was won by sCr in only their second season. They have shown improvement since starting in SAIL & should ignore the knockers who continue to give them no credit. They won both maps over a struggling Resurgence who have hardly played the game recently. Resurgence also only fielded five for their first map but put up a much better effort on the second with six. sCr were just more determined to win this one. Congrats to sCR on a hard fought win.
Unfortunately both division matches were a bit disappointing this season. Once agin congrats to both winners. Enjoy the break everyone.

Division 1.
First
map was cLag's choice, Aura. They started as Axis & came out
slowly. SAW had some chances for a capout but the cLag defense was
impenetrable. After a slowish start they then exerted their dominance
finishing the half with a 3-0 cap lead. Frowny was the one shining light
for SAW in a group that struggled. The whole cLag side was strong with
Sly the standout. Second half & it would be interesting to see if
SAW could put up more of a fight as Axis. They did do better but were
clearly outclassed by the cLag lineup. Sly was again the destroyer while
the SAW players were struggling. cLag winning the half 3-1 caps.
Best
players:
cLag: Sly & HappyChef
SAW: Frowny
POM:
Sly
The second map was SAW's choice, Coire. Both teams made
changes for the second half. clag bringing in ErazeR & Hazard for
Kel & Sly while SAW subbed Silence & Coach for Wetts &
Frowny. SAW started as Axis but just couldn't get any rythym happening,
nearly capping out on many occasions but just not having the timing on
all four flags art once. cLag on the other hand just continued where
they left off from the previous map. They dominated going to the half
with a 5-0 cap lead. The whole cLag side did well but Hazard &
ErazeR were the standouts for the half. All SAW members struggled. Second
half was again a half where SAW was unable to get the timing right.
Many times losing one flag as what was the last was being capped.
Silence the one standout for SAW but Madman doing better. cLag finished
the half with a 3-0 cap win for the half. Hazard the dominating player
for cLag.
Best players:
cLag: Hazard & ErazeR
SAW:
Silence & Madman
POM: Hazard
After two maps cLag
had finished as convincing winners as many expected. Congrats to cLag on
their stellar season.
Season III, Division 1, Rifle Comp
Champions: cLag
Player Of Finals: Sly & Hazard for dominating
one map each.
Division 2.
First map for
the night was Spartans choice, Diversion. Spartans started as Allies
& had sCR in trouble from the outset. sCR were missing Grant who had
been the teams go to player during the season. Spartans had clear
intentions of making up for their Elimination debacle match against this
team. When the half finished Spartans held a 2-1 cap lead which put
them in the box seat as they changed sides to Axis. sCr players were
struggling while Spartans were all positive in the kills. Insin &
Junx the standouts. Second half was a repeat of the first with
Spartans winning the half with a 2-1 cap win at the end of the second
half. sCR appeared to have more chances in this half as their players
did better but Junx & Insin were determined to hold them out as they
again dominated for Spartans.
Best players:
Spartans:
Junx & Insin
sCr: Hodgie & Joykiller
POM: Couldn't
split them. Junx & Insin.
Second map for the night was
sCr's choice, Santos. sCr started as Axis & needed to make a
statement from the outset of this match. Unfortunately for the it was
Spartans making the statement as they came out where they left off on
the previous map. They played with the same members from the first map
while sCR subbed Maniak in for Wranger. Hodgie had connection problems
which didn't help but Spartans were on a mission. A mission to smash sCR
to make up for that last final. They went to the half with a 2-0 cap
lead. They changed sides & sCr were always going to be in trouble
as Spartans were on their favoured side, Axis. This half went as
expected with Spartans exerting their dominance over a struggling sCr
side. They managed to win the half 5-0. All Spartans players doing well
while sCr players were struggling.
Best players:
Spartans:
Junx & Insin
sCr: Hodgie & Joykiller
POM: Junx
After
two maps Spartans had finished as convincing winners as many expected.
Congrats to Spartans on their stellar season.
Season III,
Division 2, Rifle Comp Champions: Spartans
Player Of Finals: Junx
narrowly over Insin but you could toss a coin. |

Welcome to SAIL. |

Welcome to the new home of the SAW Amateur Invite League. The move to this site was done so as to include the complete website, forum & competition sections on the one site. This also means one registration for all areas. For some yet to be explained reason some registrations do not carry over to the forum. I have not been able to replicate it on many test signups. If you are one of these people you will need to signup separately for the forum using the same details as you did for the main site. Permissions will then be set for your account. It is still a work in progress so please be patient. We are still testing out the site so please be patient with any problems found. Report any discrepancies to me via the forum for checking. Some sections allow "Comments" to be added. PLEASE DO NOT ABUSE this function!!!!!!!!!!
I have added some information for users on registering players & teams in the FAQ on the left as a guide. If any problems are found let me know or post on the Forum.
League Outline. The SAW competition league will be run as a round robin tournament. All teams will play each other once followed by finals for the top 4 clans at season end. All maps used for the competition will be custom maps. When finals arrive clans will have voting rights on maps used during the season in the form of 3 2 & 1 for the maps to be used for the finals. The winning map will be used for the deciding Grand Final map, second map for Prelim & third map for Semis.
The servers will be running a rate limiting addon to try to enforce an even playing field for all teams as well as a number of Anti_cheat programs. Pistols will also be a feature for classes. STV will be available for all matches.
The aim of this competition is to forge a new beginning for DODS without the bad sportsmanship & abuse that was evident with previous competitions. The Game Ops will be extremely strict on any abuse etc from teams in this competition. It is recommended that teams refrain talking to the other team when playing matches except for basic courtesy in game.
We hope that everyone will enjoy their gaming experience under these new conditions.
Registering. Player's names must comply with the SAW Code of Conduct. If in doubt ask first as all names that do not comply will be deleted from the player list.
Player's registered names must be the same as their in game name that is used. This is so that permissions can be set for players. The same name MUST be used for the main signup page, forum, in game & XRay. It must be distinguishable as the player.
The registered name must be used when on the Competition Server. No excuses accepted. Anyone in breach of this will be removed from the server.
XRAY. The Must Have Program!!!!!!! All participants in SAIL must register & download XRay anti-cheat program. This must be run for all matches that all participants play in. Anyone found not to have run this program for their match will forfeit the concerned match. It is team leaders responsibility to ensure that all their members have this program.
This program is a bit like Novacap except each player has an individual login via email & password. It is started before you go into game & recognises when DODS is started & automatically takes screenshots for as long as you are in game. Once you finish playing & close down DODS you upload the screenshots to the XRay website where you or other members are able to view them. From here suspicious screenshots can be reported for further investigation. Individual members are grouped together by their clantag as well. |
